New Zealand hold a 115-run lead with six second-innings wickets intact heading into the final day of the second Test against India in Hyderabad.

Brendon McCullum was unbeaten on 124 as the tourists reached the close on 237-4 in their second innings.

India's last-wicket pair of Harbhajan Singh and Shanthakumaran Sreesanth had extended their partnership to 105 at the start of the fourth day.

Harbahajan, on 85 overnight, quickly advanced to his second Test century in as many innings - having not made one during the first 86 matches of his career.

He was left stranded on 111 not out, featuring seven fours and seven sixes, when Sreesanth (24) finally succumbed lbw to Daniel Vettori (5-135).

Stand

India's first-innings total of 472 represented an advantage of 122 but that was wiped out by in the space of 35 overs either side of lunch by Black Caps openers McCullum and Tim McIntosh.
The pair put on 125 before McIntosh (49), who scored a century in the first innings, was caught by substitute fielder Cheteshwar Pujara off the bowling of left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha.

New Zealand lost three further wickets for the addition of 106 runs during the final session.

Ojha (2-60) struck again to have Martin Guptill(18) caught behind, Ross Taylor (7) was bowled by Sreesanth (1-70) and Jesse Ryder (20) edged through to wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni to give part-time spinner Suresh Raina (1-7) his third Test victim.

But the hosts could not find a way to dislodge McCullum, who has hung up his wicketkeeping gloves in the five-day arena in order to concentrate on opening the batting.

He went to his sixth Test ton from 132 deliveries with a boundary off Harbhajan (0-79) and continued through to stumps in the company of Kane Williamson (12no).

McCullum has so far hit 11 fours and three sixes during his 177-ball stay.

The three-match series is level after the opener in Ahmedabad was drawn.
